The time birds sing of all day

In the late hours of the night

Before the dawn breaks

Into a shining new day

I hear the birds sing

The wake of the hour

The awakening of man

Rise and shine, they say

Rise to the full glories

Of the forthcoming day

I hear them whisper

As the light silently sways

Into my heart

And enlightens my soul

And all day the glory

Of the passing moon

Is sung by the lonely birds

For the breaking dawn

No more is, persistent is but the decay

Of the human skin

Make no more, metal and grim

But cherish the hum, in the hour so late

When the world sleeps numb

And the birds stay awake

To witness nothing but,

The light of eternity
